Aimed Alliance

The Movement Disorders Policy Coalition is pleased to partner with Aimed Alliance as this month’s member feature. Aimed Alliance is a non-profit health policy organization that is staffed by a team of attorneys, which allows them to conduct detailed analysis and research on insurer practices and their compliance with state and federal laws.

“At Aimed Alliance, we collaborate with a diverse range of health care stakeholders to protect and enhance the rights of health care consumers and providers. We are thrilled to work with the Movement Disorders Policy Coalition to enhance policy and access to treatments for patients with movement disorders,” said Ashira Vantrees, Counsel at Aimed Alliance.

Aimed Alliance advances its mission by supporting laws, regulations, and policies that encourage or require health care to be transparent, safe, accessible and culturally competent. Members of Aimed Alliance are motivated to make a difference to ensure consumers, in consultation with their health care providers and loved ones, can make informed and individually appropriate decisions about their health care, and ensuring those decisions are not overridden by insurers or other third-parties.

Aimed Alliance maintains several policy priorities, including patient access, health disparities, consumer protection, value and innovation, and health plan coverage. It also hosts webinars and develops educational material to support patient-centered policy and advocacy initiatives.
